This is a song about Mary Magdalene and her relationship to Jesus Christ.
It is a haunting ethereal song that will blow you away!
It was written by a Christian singer, Carole V.

Although Carole had never written a song before, God gave her the words and
melody and Carole was compelled to write the song and finished it in 3 days.
It was truly God-inspired. The song is even more powerful because it is
written in Mary Magdalene's "own words" (in the 1st person.)

Here is a little background of the story of the song:

Mary Magdalene was an acquaintance and follower of Jesus Christ, according to scripture.
It is believed she may possibly have been the woman caught in adultery,
about to be stoned to death, when Jesus Christ intervened and told the
crowd, "Let him without sin cast the first stone." Everyone in the crowd
dropped their stones. None was without sin. Jesus asked Mary Magdalene where
her accusers were. She said they've all gone. Jesus said, "Neither do I
condemn you. Go and sin no more." The first verse of this song is about that.

It is a biblical fact that Mary Magdalene was at the cross when Jesus Christ
was crucified. In the 2nd verse of this song she tells of her anguish at the cross, not only
that her friend, Jesus Christ, was dying on the cross, but that He was dying
for HER sins and the sins of the world.

It is also a biblical fact that Mary Magdalene was the first person to see
the empty tomb where Jesus Christ had been buried and had resurrected. In
the 3rd verse of this song, Mary tells of her anguish at not knowing where
Jesus is, and then He appears to her and calls her by name, "Mary!".

Mary Magdalene's Song
By Carole V (& Reuben F - music accompaniment)

I shall never forget, as long as I live, that horrifying day
When all my sin had found me out, and they gathered 'round to say
"Master, how can you turn your back? She can never deny this fact.
She was caught in the very act!"
I shall never forget, as long as I live, that horrifying day.
He said, "Woman, go and sin no more."
Woman, go and sin no more.
I shall never forget, as long as I live, His forgiveness on that day.

I shall never forget, as long as I live, that Crucifixion day.
My precious Lord, hung on that tree, for my sin He had to pay.
His love for me shown through His pain, there He hung bearing all my shame.
Heaven's glory would I gain.
I shall never forget, as long as I live, that Crucifixion day.
He said, "Father, forgive them."
Father, forgive them.
I shall never forget, as long as I live, His suffering on that day.

I shall never forget, as long as I live that Resurrection day.
Up on that hill, and to the tomb, in the dark I made my way.
"Where have you taken Him, I must know! My heart is aching, I'm full of woe.
Tell me the way, and I will go!"
I shall never forget, as long as I live, that Resurrection day.
He said, "Woman, why weepest thou?"
Woman, why weepest thou?

"My Lord is gone and I know not where!
All that's left is His garment there!
His grave is empty, His tomb is bare...."

He said, "Mary!"
